What is this course?
This course brings science to life by helping students explore the “why” and “how” behind the world around them. From biology and chemistry to physics and environmental science, students dive into topics through hands-on activities, real-life examples, and clear explanations. Instead of memorizing facts, they learn to think like young scientists—asking questions, testing ideas, and understanding concepts in a practical, engaging way.
How does it help students?
Science isn’t just a subject—it’s a way of thinking. This course helps students sharpen their observation skills, understand cause and effect, and develop curiosity about the world. It prepares them not just for exams, but for real-life problem solving. By making science fun and approachable, students start to enjoy learning, ask better questions, and grow into more confident, analytical thinkers.
Our instructors
Our science teachers are qualified instructors with practical experience. This means they can show students how science is used in real jobs and everyday life. Our instructors know how to make difficult topics easy to understand and fun to learn. With their background in both science and teaching, they make learning exciting and prepare students for success in advanced science courses.
The Pen and Podium science curriculum develops curious, confident scientists through hands-on experiments and real-world investigations. Our 12-month program takes students from basic observations to advanced scientific concepts, with each month focusing on one key area of science. We believe students learn best by doing—conducting experiments, making discoveries, and solving problems like real scientists.
